Laundry exhaust restoration at a resort property

01Challenge

A resort's on-premise laundry was running extended drying cycles. Engineering suspected the dryers; the actual restriction sat in lint-packed exhaust risers.

02Inspection

Path mapping from each dryer to roof termination showed heavy lint accumulation in vertical risers and a partially blocked termination damper. Airflow readings confirmed the restriction.

03Execution

Dryers were sequenced offline two at a time while risers were agitated and extracted. The termination damper was cleaned and freed.

04Evidence

Before/after airflow measurements and photographs at each access point were compiled with observations on damper condition for the engineering file.

05Outcome

Drying cycles returned toward rated times and the property adopted a scheduled exhaust-cleaning interval based on measured lint load.
